ITC Avant Garde Gothic Pro Md Regular

ITC Avant Garde Gothic Pro Md Regular is a cornerstone of modern typography, originally conceived by the legendary Herb Lubalin and Tom Carnase in 1970. The typeface evolved from the unique, geometric logo Lubalin designed for Avant Garde magazine. It is celebrated for its mathematically precise geometric shapes, most notably the perfect circles of its bowls and the sharp, clean angles of its strokes, which captured the futuristic spirit of the era.

The 'Pro' version of this typeface expands upon the original design by incorporating advanced OpenType features, including the extensive set of stylistic ligatures that made the font a global sensation. This Medium weight provides a robust yet elegant presence, making it highly versatile for both display and short-form text. It continues to be a favorite among designers for its ability to convey both a retro-modern aesthetic and a clean, sophisticated professional image.
