Iwona Cond Bold Italic

Iwona Cond Bold Italic is a distinguished member of the Iwona typeface family, designed by the renowned Polish typographer Janusz Marian Nowacki. Originally conceived as an alternative version of the Kurier typeface, Iwona is a two-element sans-serif face that balances technical precision with modern aesthetics. This specific condensed bold italic variant is engineered to provide maximum impact and emphasis within limited horizontal spaces, making it a staple for professional typesetting and academic publishing.

The typeface is widely celebrated within the TeX and LaTeX communities for its exceptional legibility and comprehensive support for mathematical symbols and multilingual characters. Its design features a high x-height and clear, open counters, ensuring that even the slanted, heavy condensed weight remains readable at smaller sizes. Whether used for specialized technical documents or contemporary graphic design projects, Iwona Cond Bold Italic offers a unique blend of historical Polish typographic tradition and functional modern utility.
