Karantina Regular

Karantina Regular is a striking, condensed display typeface designed by Rafael Dietzsch and published by the Naipe Foundry. The font was originally inspired by the hand-lettered titles seen on a poster for the 1963 classic film The Great Escape. Its structure is characterized by an extremely narrow width and tall x-height, making it a powerful tool for designers who need to make a bold statement within limited horizontal space.

The design features geometric construction with uniform stroke weights, giving it a clean, industrial, and modern aesthetic. Because of its high-impact nature and excellent legibility in compressed formats, Karantina has become a popular choice for editorial headlines, cinematic posters, and digital branding. It is released under the SIL Open Font License, allowing for wide accessibility in both personal and commercial creative work.
