Korolev Bold Italic Regular

Korolev Bold Italic Regular is a striking geometric sans-serif typeface designed by the acclaimed British designer Rian Hughes. The font family is named after Sergey Korolev, the lead Soviet rocket engineer during the Space Race, and its design is rooted in the socialist realist lettering found in Soviet propaganda from the 1930s. This specific weight combines a robust, industrial structure with a dynamic slant, offering a sense of forward-moving energy and authoritative presence.

The typeface is characterized by its wide, square proportions and clean, mechanical lines that evoke a modernist aesthetic. The Bold Italic version is particularly effective for display purposes where a sense of urgency or strength is required. Because of its historical lineage and contemporary refinement, it bridges the gap between vintage political graphics and modern corporate identity, making it a versatile choice for designers looking for a font with a unique backstory and high visual impact.
