Korolev Light Italic Regular

Korolev Light Italic Regular is a sophisticated geometric sans-serif typeface created by the renowned British designer Rian Hughes. It is part of the larger Korolev superfamily, which was inspired by the socialist realist lettering of the Soviet Union in the 1930s. This specific weight captures a delicate balance between industrial strength and refined elegance, offering a sleek, airy aesthetic that is both modern and historically grounded.

The typeface is defined by its mathematical precision and low-contrast strokes, which are hallmark traits of the geometric movement. The italic slant provides a sense of forward momentum and kinetic energy, making it an excellent choice for contemporary branding projects that require a sense of speed and efficiency. Its clean lines and open apertures ensure high legibility even in smaller display sizes, bridging the gap between historical propaganda art and 21st-century digital design.
