Laca Text Book Regular

Laca Text Book Regular is a versatile semi-sans serif typeface designed by Joana Correia for the Nova Type Foundry. Inspired by the retro aesthetics of Portuguese soap packaging from the mid-20th century, this font family balances nostalgic charm with contemporary functionality. Its distinctive character comes from a unique blend of soft, rounded terminals and a sturdy, geometric structure that ensures exceptional legibility even at smaller point sizes.

The "Text" version of Laca is specifically optimized for long-form reading, featuring adjusted proportions and spacing compared to its display counterpart. This makes it an excellent choice for editorial design, corporate branding, and digital interfaces. With its friendly yet professional demeanor, Laca Text Book Regular provides a warm alternative to more clinical geometric sans-serifs, making it a favorite for designers seeking a humanistic touch in modern layouts.
