Laca Text ExtraLight

Laca Text ExtraLight is a contemporary humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Joana Correia and released through Nova Type Foundry. It is a refined evolution of the original Laca family, which drew its unique inspiration from the retro typography found on vintage Portuguese soap packaging. This specific 'Text' iteration is meticulously engineered for superior legibility, featuring adjusted proportions and wider spacing to ensure that the font performs exceptionally well in body copy and small-scale applications.

The ExtraLight weight offers a sophisticated and airy aesthetic, characterized by its elegant thin strokes and soft, friendly terminals. By blending nostalgic calligraphic roots with a clean, geometric structure, this typeface provides a modern yet warm personality. It is highly versatile, making it a favorite for designers who require a professional font that maintains a high level of character without sacrificing readability in complex editorial layouts or digital interfaces.
