Laca Text Light

Laca Text Light is a sophisticated sans-serif typeface designed by Joana Correia and released through Nova Type Foundry. This font is a specialized evolution of the original Laca family, specifically optimized for long-form reading and smaller point sizes. Inspired by the retro aesthetic of mid-century Portuguese soap packaging, it strikes a perfect balance between nostalgic charm and contemporary high-legibility engineering.

The Light weight of this family offers a delicate yet sturdy profile, making it an excellent choice for modern editorial designs and digital interfaces. Its design features generous counters and open apertures, which prevent the characters from clogging in print or on low-resolution screens. As a humanist sans-serif, Laca Text Light brings a touch of warmth and approachability to any professional project without sacrificing its clean, geometric foundation.
