Laca Text Regular

Laca Text Regular is a versatile sans-serif typeface designed by Joana Correia and published via Nova Type Foundry. It draws its unique inspiration from retro Portuguese soap packaging, specifically the 'Laca' brand from the mid-20th century. While the original Laca family was intended for display use, the Text version has been meticulously adjusted with larger counters, generous spacing, and optimized proportions to ensure maximum legibility in long-form reading.

The font features soft, rounded terminals and a humanist structure that gives it a friendly and approachable personality. It successfully bridges the gap between vintage aesthetics and modern functionality, making it a reliable workhorse for designers who need a typeface that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. Its clear letterforms remain distinct even at very small point sizes, making it an excellent choice for both digital and print environments.
