Lacoruna Regular

Lacoruna Regular was developed by Alit Suarnegara of Alit Design, drawing significant inspiration from the timeless elegance of vintage European signage and classical Roman proportions. Released as a versatile serif typeface, it aims to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary digital design requirements. The typeface reflects a modern resurgence in refined, high-contrast serifs that cater specifically to high-end editorial layouts, luxury branding projects, and sophisticated marketing collateral.

Technical analysis reveals a sophisticated vertical axis with a pronounced contrast between its hairline strokes and robust stems, characteristic of transitional and modern serif classifications. The x-height is moderately tall, which maintains legibility at medium-to-large sizes, while the sharp, tapered serifs add a level of crispness to the overall silhouette. The counters are generous and open, preventing visual clutter and maintaining clarity in print. Its letterforms exhibit a rhythmic flow, particularly in the teardrop terminals and delicate joins, providing a balanced visual weight that commands attention without overwhelming the surrounding white space.
