Libra Regular

Libra Regular is a distinctive uncial typeface designed by the celebrated Dutch artist and typographer S.H. de Roos in 1938 for the Amsterdam Typefoundry. It is famous for being a unicase font, meaning it does not follow the traditional separation of uppercase and lowercase letters, but instead uses a single-case alphabet inspired by 4th-century insular and uncial manuscript hands.

The typeface is characterized by its rounded, pen-drawn strokes and historical calligraphic aesthetic. Because of its deep roots in medieval tradition, it is frequently used to evoke a sense of antiquity, craftsmanship, and elegance, making it a favorite for fantasy media, religious texts, and formal documentation that requires a timeless, hand-lettered appearance.
