Maga Medium

Maga was originally developed by Ramiro Espinoza as his graduation project during the Type and Media master's program at the KABK in The Hague. Designed with editorial applications in mind, the name is derived from the word 'Magazine,' reflecting its primary purpose as a versatile and robust serif family for high-quality publication design. The typeface features a contemporary approach to the transitional style, blending sharp, modern details with a structural rhythm that ensures excellent readability.

The Maga Medium weight specifically serves as a powerful bridge between text and display usage, offering enough weight to command attention in headers while remaining clear enough for short blocks of body copy. Released through the Retype foundry, it has gained popularity for its distinct personality and its ability to maintain high performance in both high-resolution print and demanding digital screen environments.
