Maxima Nouva Bold

Maxima Nouva Bold is a sophisticated digital update to the original Maxima typeface, which was conceived in 1963 by the renowned designer Gert Wunderlich for the Typoart foundry. Designed in the former GDR as a response to international typographic trends, it was intended to serve as a high-quality, objective Neo-Grotesque alternative to fonts like Helvetica and Univers. Its structure is defined by clean, geometric lines and a balanced rhythmic flow that prioritizes legibility and functionalism.

The Nouva Bold variant provides a substantial weight that is ideal for making a strong visual statement without losing the elegant proportions of the family. This digital expansion ensures that the font meets modern technical standards for high-resolution displays and professional printing. Due to its neutral yet authoritative character, it has become a popular choice for corporate identities, signage systems, and modern editorial layouts where a clear, professional voice is required.
