Media Sans Extended Italic

Media Sans Extended Italic is a sophisticated display typeface designed by Jean-Baptiste Levée and released through the Production Type foundry. Drawing deep inspiration from the high-impact, high-contrast headline styles prevalent in mid-20th-century French journalism and advertising, it bridges the gap between classic editorial authority and modern geometric precision. The 'Extended' width pushes the boundaries of horizontal space, providing an assertive presence that commands the reader's attention instantly.

The Italic variation adds a layer of dynamic movement to the font’s rigid, bold structure, resulting in a typeface that feels both aggressive and elegant. Its sharp terminals and exaggerated width make it a favorite for high-fashion branding and editorial layouts that require a distinct, luxury feel. Whether used in print or digital media, Media Sans Extended Italic serves as a versatile tool for designers who need to communicate power and sophistication through typography.
