Media Sans Extended Light Regular

Media Sans Extended Light Regular is a sophisticated display typeface designed by Jean-Baptiste Levée and released through Production Type. Originally conceived to meet the rigorous demands of editorial design, particularly for the French newspaper Libération, the font was built to solve the challenge of creating high-impact headlines within constrained vertical spaces. The Extended version takes the core DNA of the family and stretches it horizontally, resulting in a wide, cinematic aesthetic that feels both authoritative and contemporary.

This specific weight, Light Regular, provides a refined and airy quality to the typeface's aggressive structure. Its design is characterized by tight apertures and a large x-height, ensuring that even at its most expanded widths, the letterforms remain legible and visually balanced. It is an exceptional choice for designers looking to convey a sense of modern luxury, architectural stability, or high-fashion elegance in large-scale typographic applications.
