Metropolis Black Italic

Metropolis is a modern geometric sans-serif typeface influenced by iconic fonts like Gotham and Proxima Nova. Designed with a focus on readability and versatility, it features a high x-height and clean, open counters. The Black Italic weight provides a powerful, slanted emphasis that is specifically engineered for high-impact display purposes where a sense of urgency or speed is required.

Created as an open-source project by Chris Simpson, Metropolis was intended to provide a free alternative to premium geometric typefaces without compromising on quality. Its geometric construction ensures a balanced aesthetic that remains professional across both digital interfaces and traditional print mediums, making it a favorite among modern UI/UX designers.
