Metropolis Extra Light Italic

Metropolis Extra Light Italic is a sophisticated geometric sans-serif typeface designed with modern aesthetics and digital readability in mind. Created by Chris Simpson, the Metropolis family was influenced by classic geometric typefaces but optimized for modern screens and high-performance branding. This specific variant, the Extra Light Italic, offers a delicate, slanted profile that provides a sense of elegance and forward motion while maintaining the strict geometric integrity of the larger font family.

The design of Metropolis Extra Light Italic focuses on a clean, minimalist structure with balanced proportions and open apertures. This makes it an exceptional choice for designers seeking a high-end, professional look that rivals premium commercial typefaces like Gotham or Proxima Nova. Because it is released under the Open Font License, it has become a staple for web developers and graphic designers who require a versatile, high-quality typeface that remains readable even at lighter weights and slanted angles.
