The NCAA UConn Huskies Extended Regular font is a bespoke typeface developed as part of the University of Connecticut's major athletic rebranding in 2013. Designed in collaboration with Nike, the font was created to modernize the Huskies' identity while maintaining a sense of strength and tradition. The extended proportions and heavy slab serifs reflect the power and competitive spirit of one of the nation’s top collegiate programs.

This typeface is characterized by its wide stance and aggressive terminal cuts, making it highly legible on jerseys, stadium signage, and digital media. While it is intrinsically linked to UConn Athletics, the font's bold, blocky aesthetic has made it a popular choice for sports-themed graphic design globally. Its architectural structure ensures that it remains impactful across various scales, from small print merchandise to large-scale arena branding.
