Neue Plak Condensed Thin

Neue Plak Condensed Thin is a sophisticated revival and expansion of Paul Renner's 1928 Plak typeface, which was originally conceived as a bold wood type for posters. In 2018, Monotype Studio reimagined this classic German grotesque into a versatile digital family of 60 weights. The Condensed Thin variant is a testament to architectural precision, offering a lean, elegant profile that retains the unique personality of Renner’s original work while meeting the demands of high-resolution contemporary screens.

This typeface distinguishes itself through unique letterforms, such as the characteristic 'r' and 'a', which deviate from standard geometric sans-serif tropes. Its Condensed Thin weight is particularly prized in the worlds of high-fashion editorial and luxury branding, where its slender proportions and high-contrast verticality create a sense of refined modernity. It excels in environments where space is tight but the need for a distinct, authoritative voice remains paramount.
