Neue Plak Text Semi Bold

Neue Plak is a comprehensive revival and expansion of Paul Renner's 1928 wood type design, Plak. Developed by Linda Hintz and Toshi Omagari, this modern iteration bridges the gap between its historical industrial roots and the demands of contemporary digital typography. The Text subfamily was specifically engineered to enhance legibility at smaller point sizes, offering a more open and balanced version of the original's condensed and heavy character.

The Semi Bold weight of Neue Plak Text strikes an ideal balance between authority and readability, making it a versatile choice for both print and screen. While it retains the Bauhaus-inspired geometric soul of Renner's earlier work, it introduces refined proportions that allow it to function beautifully in long-form editorial content. Its expansive character set and multiple widths make it a powerhouse for complex typographic systems and high-end corporate identity projects.
