Neue Plak Text Thin Italic

Neue Plak is a sophisticated revival and major expansion of Paul Renner's original 1928 design, Plak. While Renner is most famously known for Futura, Plak was his lesser-known masterpiece originally designed for wood type. This modern interpretation by Monotype expands the family into a massive system, with the Text variants specifically optimized for readability and clarity in smaller applications and digital screens.

The Thin Italic weight offers a sleek, ethereal quality that maintains the geometric DNA of the original industrial design. Its delicate strokes and sharp italicized angle provide a sense of refined motion and high-end elegance. This makes it a versatile tool for designers looking to balance the rugged, wood-type heritage of the Plak family with contemporary, minimalist aesthetics in editorial and corporate environments.
