Neutraface Text Light Regular

Neutraface Text Light Regular is a masterwork of geometric sans-serif design, inspired by the architectural principles and signage of the modernist architect Richard Neutra. Developed by Christian Schwartz for the renowned type foundry House Industries, this typeface was born from a deep exploration of Neutra’s commercial and residential projects. While the Display weights capture the bold, theatrical nature of mid-century building lettering, the Text version was meticulously engineered with increased x-height and adjusted proportions to ensure exceptional legibility in long-form copy.

Since its release, Neutraface has become an iconic staple in the design world, bridging the gap between high-concept architectural theory and functional typography. The Light Regular weight offers a sophisticated, airy aesthetic that maintains the clean, sharp lines characteristic of the International Style. It is widely praised for its versatility, appearing in everything from high-end fashion branding to editorial layouts, making it a definitive example of 20th-century modernism adapted for the digital age.
