Neutral Sans Regular

Neutral Sans Regular is the result of an intensive research project by Kai Bernau, who sought to create a typeface that possesses no distinct personality of its own. By meticulously averaging the proportions and construction details of several influential 20th-century neo-grotesques, Bernau developed a font that achieves a unique state of stylistic invisibility. This makes the typeface exceptionally versatile, as it does not impose a specific mood on the text, allowing the underlying message to be delivered with absolute clarity.

Released through the Milieu Grotesque foundry, Neutral Sans has established itself as a staple for designers who adhere to the principles of Modernism. Its design avoids the quirks and calligraphic flourishes often found in other sans-serif families, focusing instead on geometric balance and optimal legibility. Whether used in high-density information environments or minimalist branding, it serves as a sophisticated alternative to mainstream classics like Helvetica or Univers, offering a more disciplined and contemporary aesthetic.
