Oi Regular

Oi is an ultra-fat display typeface that draws inspiration from the slab serifs of the 19th century. Designed by Kostas Bartsokas, it was created as a challenge to push the limits of weight and contrast, resulting in a bold, playful, and almost cartoonish aesthetic. Its loud and unapologetic personality makes it stand out in any typographic composition, particularly those requiring a touch of retro charm mixed with modern loudness.

The font is characterized by its massive weight and rhythmic curves, often described as intergalactic or psychedelic. Released under the SIL Open Font License, Oi Regular excels in large-scale applications where the intricacy of its chunky letterforms can be fully appreciated, bridging the gap between heavy wood type and contemporary digital expression.
