Old Standard TT Regular

Old Standard TT is a classicist serif typeface designed to reproduce a specific type of Modern style that was prevalent in scientific and editorial publications during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is based on the Modern (classicist) typefaces used in various editions of the Russian Academy of Sciences, offering a sophisticated and authoritative aesthetic that distinguishes it from more contemporary serif designs.

The name 'Old Standard' was selected to contrast it with 'New Standard' fonts like Times New Roman. It features high contrast between thick and thin strokes and vertical stress, making it an exceptional choice for academic writing, classical philology, and multilingual typesetting, including support for Old Greek and Church Slavonic characters.
