Onest ExtraBold

Onest ExtraBold is a standout weight within the Onest typeface family, which holds the distinction of being the first font designed specifically for the digital identity of the Republic of Moldova. Created by Andrey Kudryavtsev and the creative team at Simpals, the project was born from a desire to make communication between the state and its citizens more transparent and honest. It is a modern geometric sans-serif that prioritizes readability and a clean, neutral aesthetic that works across diverse platforms.

The ExtraBold variation is particularly suited for high-impact visual communication, offering thick, deliberate strokes and generous apertures. Its design follows a geometric structure that ensures stability and a contemporary feel, making it an excellent choice for modern web interfaces and print media alike. As an open-source project, it represents a collaborative effort to provide high-quality typography that is accessible to everyone, ensuring consistent visual language in both public and private sectors.
