Onest SemiBold

Onest is a versatile and modern sans-serif typeface family, originally commissioned as the first custom typeface for the Republic of Moldova to represent the state's digital identity. Developed by the TypeType foundry in collaboration with lead designers Dmitry Shcherbakov and Victor Kharyk, the font was built on the principles of openness, transparency, and modern efficiency. The SemiBold weight specifically provides a strong, authoritative presence while maintaining the humanistic warmth and geometric precision that defines the entire family.

The design architecture of Onest focuses on high legibility and wide apertures, making it exceptionally functional across both small screen sizes and large-scale print applications. As a variable font system, it bridges the gap between traditional typography and contemporary web requirements. Its neutral yet friendly character allows it to adapt to various contexts, from official government communications to cutting-edge tech startup branding, ensuring a clean and professional aesthetic throughout.
