OTC Underground Regular

OTC Underground Regular is a typeface deeply rooted in the iconic design legacy of the London Underground. Originally conceived by the legendary calligrapher Edward Johnston in 1913, this font represents one of the most influential humanist sans-serif designs in typographic history. It was specifically engineered to ensure maximum legibility and clarity for commuters navigating the transit system, featuring perfectly balanced geometric forms, distinctive diamond-shaped tittles, and a unique 'O' that reflects the purity of a perfect circle.

The OTC version brings this timeless aesthetic to modern digital platforms while maintaining the structural integrity of the original woodblock and metal types. Its clean lines and open apertures make it an exceptional choice for branding projects that require a sense of British heritage, authority, and early 20th-century modernism. This regular weight serves as a versatile anchor for both high-impact display headlines and short passages of clear, informative body text.
