P22 Arts And Crafts Regular

P22 Arts And Crafts Regular was designed by James Grieshaber for the P22 Type Foundry as part of a suite of fonts celebrating the late 19th-century design movement. This typeface is a digital homage to the Arts and Crafts movement, drawing specific inspiration from the hand-lettered styles of the Roycroft community and the aesthetic principles of William Morris. It captures a unique balance between rugged, hand-hewn characteristics and the elegant, organic flow that defined the era's rejection of industrial mass production.

The font features distinctive, blocky letterforms with an artisanal feel, making it an excellent choice for projects that require a sense of historical authenticity and craftsmanship. Its thick strokes and slight irregularities evoke the texture of woodblock printing and hand-painted signage. Since its introduction, it has served as a primary typographic tool for designers looking to recreate the nostalgic, warm, and human-centric atmosphere of the turn-of-the-century Mission and Craftsman styles.
