苹方 中等 Regular

PingFang (苹方) was introduced by Apple Inc. in 2015 alongside the release of iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan. It was meticulously designed to replace the aging Heiti SC and TC fonts as the default Chinese system typeface, aimed at providing a more modern, clean, and legible appearance on high-resolution Retina displays. The font family supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, ensuring a seamless visual transition across Apple's global ecosystem.

Developed in collaboration with the renowned foundry DynaComware, the PingFang family features a Neo-grotesque sans-serif aesthetic with a neutral, geometric structure. The Regular (Medium/中等) weight is specifically balanced to offer high clarity in both user interface elements and long-form digital text. Since its debut, it has become one of the most widely recognized and influential typefaces in contemporary Chinese digital typography.
