Pitch Sans Bold Italic

Pitch Sans Bold Italic is a distinguished member of the Pitch Sans family, designed by the renowned Kris Sowersby of the Klim Type Foundry. This typeface is a sans-serif interpretation of Pitch, which was originally a monospaced "typewriter" font. By removing the strict monospaced constraints while retaining the mechanical character of its predecessor, Pitch Sans Bold Italic offers a unique blend of digital precision and vintage aesthetic. The Bold Italic weight specifically introduces a sense of urgency and motion, making it stand out in complex typographic hierarchies.

Released as a contemporary response to the "humanist" and "grotesque" trends, Pitch Sans focuses on the concept of a "typewriter sans." It bridges the gap between technical documentation and expressive editorial design. Its construction is rooted in the typewriter's grid, yet the sans-serif forms provide a cleaner, more streamlined appearance that works exceptionally well on high-resolution screens and in premium print publications. It has become a favorite among designers looking for a font that feels both systematic and soulful.
