Pitch Sans Light Italic

Pitch Sans Light Italic is a sophisticated typeface designed by Kris Sowersby of the Klim Type Foundry. It serves as a proportional companion to the original monospaced Pitch, stripping away the fixed-width constraints while retaining the distinct typewriter DNA. This transition allows the font to maintain its mechanical and industrial soul while providing the visual harmony and reading comfort expected from a contemporary sans-serif. The Light Italic weight, specifically, adds a layer of elegant motion and structural clarity to the family.

Historically, Pitch was a love letter to the typewriter aesthetic, and Pitch Sans expands this concept into a versatile tool for high-end graphic design. The Light Italic variant is characterized by its crisp lines and carefully balanced slants, making it an excellent choice for designers who need to convey precision and modernity. It bridges the gap between the rigid, grid-based origins of digital type and the fluid, humanistic qualities of traditional italics, ensuring a unique presence in both print and digital environments.
