Rasa Medium Regular

Rasa is a sophisticated open-source serif typeface designed by Rosetta Type Foundry, primarily focused on providing exceptional support for the Gujarati script alongside its Latin counterpart. Developed as a sibling to the Yrsa typeface, Rasa was created to bridge the gap between different writing systems, offering a unified aesthetic for multi-lingual typesetting. The design process involved a deep exploration of Gujarati calligraphic traditions, resulting in a font that feels both contemporary and rooted in history.

The Medium Regular weight of Rasa is specifically engineered for high legibility in long-form reading environments. While the Latin characters are adapted from the Yrsa project to ensure a harmonious blend, the Gujarati glyphs were meticulously balanced to handle complex clusters and vowel signs. It serves as a versatile tool for publishers and web designers who require a professional, open-source solution for editorial and academic content across South Asian and Western contexts.
