Rasa Regular

Rasa is a sophisticated serif typeface specifically designed to support the Gujarati script, accompanied by a Latin counterpart derived from the Yrsa font family. Developed by the Huerta Tipográfica foundry, this project was created with the intent of providing a high-quality, open-source solution for multi-script publishing. The typeface excels in balancing the visual weight between the intricate Gujarati characters and the classic Latin letterforms, ensuring a cohesive look in bilingual documents.

The Rasa Regular weight is optimized for continuous reading, offering a tall x-height and open counters that enhance legibility at smaller point sizes. It was designed as part of a larger initiative to provide free, professional-grade typography for diverse linguistic communities. Because it is built on the foundations of the Yrsa family, it inherits a refined, contemporary aesthetic that works exceptionally well in editorial contexts, academic papers, and cultural publications.
