Regional Expanded Regular

Regional Expanded Regular is a sophisticated serif typeface designed by Edd Harrington and Anthony Sheret of the Colophon Foundry. The typeface is a contemporary reinterpretation of the idiosyncratic wood types found in late 19th-century and early 20th-century American and European printing. By pushing the horizontal proportions to an expanded state, the designers created a font that feels both historically grounded and strikingly modern, offering a cinematic quality that is rare in traditional serif families.

The font features high-contrast strokes and sharp, refined terminals that give it a sharp, authoritative presence on the page. Because of its wide stance and deliberate spacing, it is exceptionally well-suited for display purposes where visual impact is paramount. Regional Expanded Regular bridges the gap between industrial-strength typography and high-fashion elegance, making it a versatile choice for designers looking to make a bold statement in editorial and digital landscapes.
