Regional Thin Regular

Regional Thin Regular is a sophisticated serif typeface that draws inspiration from the transitional and Scotch Roman designs of the late 19th century. Developed by Noel Leu and released through the Swiss foundry Grilli Type, this typeface strikes a perfect balance between historical typographic tradition and contemporary digital precision. The Thin Regular weight is specifically characterized by its extreme stroke contrast and needle-sharp serifs, offering a refined aesthetic that exudes luxury and intellectual clarity.

This typeface is built to excel in high-end environments, particularly where elegance and subtlety are required. Because of its delicate proportions, Regional Thin Regular is most effective when used at large display sizes, where its intricate details—such as the sharp terminals and graceful curves—can be fully appreciated. It serves as a modern homage to classic book typography, reimagined for the high-resolution demands of modern editorial design and premium branding.
