Remora Corp W2 Black

Remora Corp W2 Black is a cornerstone of the expansive Remora superfamily, meticulously crafted by Nick Cooke of G-Type. Released in 2017, the Remora project was designed to provide a highly versatile sans-serif solution that balances geometric precision with humanist warmth. The 'Corp' variant is specifically engineered for professional and corporate environments, offering a more structured and neutral aesthetic compared to its sibling, Remora Sans. The W2 designation indicates a specific width profile, while the Black weight provides maximum impact for high-profile messaging.

The typeface is characterized by its high x-height and open counters, which ensure exceptional legibility even in its heaviest weights. This makes the Black weight particularly effective for large-scale applications where clarity and authority are paramount. Its design DNA draws inspiration from classic humanist sans-serifs but incorporates modern refinements that make it suitable for contemporary digital platforms, global branding initiatives, and sophisticated editorial layouts.
