Rockwell Nova Cond Italic

Rockwell Nova Cond Italic is a sophisticated refinement of the legendary geometric slab serif typeface, which was originally developed under the supervision of Frank Hinman Pierpont in 1934. As part of the Rockwell Nova family released by Monotype, this specific condensed italic weight was designed to expand the versatility of the original typeface, offering a more compact footprint while maintaining the strong, architectural character that defines the Rockwell legacy.

The condensed italic version features a distinct rhythmic slant and slab-style serifs that provide excellent legibility even in constrained spaces. It combines the mechanical precision of geometric forms with the dynamic energy of an italic face, making it a favorite for editorial designers and brand strategists who need to convey authority and modernity simultaneously. Its clean lines and balanced proportions ensure it remains a timeless choice for both digital screens and high-resolution print.
