Sahel Light

Sahel Light is a contemporary Persian and Arabic typeface crafted by Saber Rastikerdar, a prominent figure in modern Iranian typography. This font was specifically engineered to enhance the digital reading experience, offering a crisp and clear aesthetic that deviates from more traditional, heavy calligraphic styles. The Light weight of the Sahel family provides a delicate, refined touch that is perfect for minimalist designs and high-resolution displays.

Released as an open-source project under the SIL Open Font License, Sahel has become a staple for web developers and graphic designers working with Persian scripts. It bridges the gap between functional legibility and artistic elegance, making it highly effective for both long-form text and sophisticated user interfaces. Its popularity stems from its balance, modern proportions, and its ability to maintain clarity even at smaller point sizes on mobile devices.
