Sahel VF Regular

Sahel VF Regular is a modern Persian/Arabic typeface designed by the late Saber Rastikerdar, a pioneer in digital typography for the Persian language. This variable font (VF) was specifically engineered to provide exceptional legibility on digital screens, bridging the gap between traditional calligraphy and contemporary UI/UX requirements. Its clean lines and balanced proportions make it one of the most reliable choices for developers and designers working with RTL (Right-to-Left) languages.

The design of Sahel focuses on a minimalist Sans Serif aesthetic, which removes the high-contrast strokes found in classical Naskh scripts to create a more neutral and functional look. As a variable font, it allows for a fluid range of weights within a single file, significantly reducing web load times while offering endless customization. It has become a standard in the Iranian open-source community, celebrated for its versatility in both professional and creative applications.
