Sextan Light

Sextan Light is a contemporary slab serif typeface that draws its inspiration from the precision and mechanical elegance of navigational instruments like the sextant. Designed by Reto Moser, this typeface features a monolinear weight distribution and open apertures, providing excellent legibility even in smaller sizes. Its geometric foundation is softened by subtle humanistic touches, making it versatile for both technical and creative applications.

The typeface excels in environments where clarity and a sense of structure are paramount. Whether used in digital interfaces or printed editorial layouts, Sextan Light offers a sophisticated, industrial aesthetic that feels both timeless and modern. The font's wide range of characters and clean lines make it a favorite for designers looking for a typeface that communicates authority without being overly decorative.
