Sextan Roman Italic

Sextan Roman Italic is a sophisticated serif typeface designed by Reto Moser and released through the renowned Swiss type foundry Lineto. The font represents a synthesis of classical Roman proportions and contemporary geometric precision, resulting in a typeface that feels both timeless and modern. The Italic weight is specifically engineered to provide a rhythmic, calligraphic flow while maintaining the structural integrity and legibility required for high-density typesetting.

The Sextan family is characterized by its sharp serifs and clear, open apertures, which ensure excellent performance in both digital and print environments. Its history is rooted in the rationalist designs of the late 18th century, yet it avoids excessive ornamentation in favor of a clean, functional aesthetic. This makes Sextan Roman Italic an exceptional choice for editorial professionals who require a font that offers character without sacrificing readability in complex layouts.
