Sierra Italic

Sierra Italic is a classic serif typeface originally designed by Alan Meeks in 1983 for the Letraset library. The typeface is characterized by its high-contrast stroke weights and graceful, calligraphic curves that provide a sense of traditional craftsmanship and elegance. It stands out for its refined terminals and sharp serifs, making it a staple for projects requiring a sophisticated, vintage aesthetic.

Over the decades, Sierra Italic has become a favored choice for designers working in high-end editorial and formal communications. Its narrow proportions and rhythmic flow allow it to function beautifully in short display settings, providing a timeless look that bridges the gap between classic Roman structures and modern calligraphic flair.
