Stag Sans Semi Bold

Stag Sans Semi Bold was designed by the renowned Christian Schwartz and released through Commercial Type. Originally developed as a sans-serif companion to the slab serif Stag family, which was first commissioned for V magazine, this typeface offers a unique blend of modern geometry and humanistic warmth. It is characterized by its distinct rounded terminals and idiosyncratic letterforms that maintain high legibility while providing a strong, recognizable personality.

The Semi Bold weight acts as a versatile middle ground within the family, offering enough visual weight for display purposes while remaining exceptionally clear for short blocks of text. Its construction balances a masculine, industrial feel with a friendly and approachable tone, making it a favorite among graphic designers for high-end editorial work, corporate branding, and contemporary digital interfaces.
