SUSE ExtraBold Regular

SUSE ExtraBold Regular is a prominent weight within the SUSE typeface family, a custom-designed font commissioned by SUSE, the global leader in open-source software. Developed by the acclaimed German type designer Rene Bieder, this typeface was engineered to bridge the gap between technical precision and human-centric design. It serves as a visual representation of the open-source philosophy, emphasizing transparency, accessibility, and modern innovation.

The ExtraBold variant is specifically optimized for high-impact visual communication. It features a geometric sans-serif structure with generous apertures and distinct character shapes that maintain clarity even at larger scales. Released under the SIL Open Font License, it has become a favorite among the Linux community and web developers for creating bold, professional interfaces and marketing assets that require a strong, contemporary voice.
