Tafel Sans Pro Black

Tafel Sans Pro Black is a heavyweight humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Matthieu Cortat and released through the 205TF foundry. This typeface skillfully balances the geometric rigor of early 20th-century European typography with the warmth and legibility of traditional calligraphic structures. The Black weight provides a powerful and commanding presence, making it an excellent choice for designers looking for a bold, authoritative voice without sacrificing the open apertures and clarity that define the Tafel family.

Drawing inspiration from the historical signage and architectural lettering of the 1920s and 30s, Tafel Sans Pro has been refined for modern digital and print environments. Its robust construction and elegant proportions make it highly versatile, functioning effectively in everything from high-impact branding to large-scale environmental graphics. The interplay between its substantial stroke thickness and sophisticated curves ensures it remains aesthetically pleasing even at extreme display sizes.
