Tafel Sans Pro Light

Tafel Sans Pro Light is a contemporary humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Nils Thomsen and published through the TypeMates foundry. The name 'Tafel' is derived from the German word for 'board' or 'table,' reflecting the font's origins in clean, instructional aesthetics. It was meticulously crafted to bridge the gap between rigid geometric shapes and soft, organic humanist curves, resulting in a typeface that maintains a friendly yet authoritative voice across various media platforms.

The Light weight of this family is particularly valued for its elegance and airy composition. It features open counters and a large x-height, which provides excellent legibility in both high-resolution print and digital display environments. Its refined strokes make it a favorite for designers looking to create a minimalist, sophisticated atmosphere in editorial layouts, corporate communications, and high-end branding projects.
