TH SarabunPSK Regular is one of the 13 national fonts distributed by the Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA) in Thailand. It was commissioned as part of a national project to establish a royalty-free, standardized typeface for government use, effectively replacing older proprietary fonts like Angsana New. This movement was intended to reduce licensing costs and provide a unified typographic identity for the Thai public sector.

The font is celebrated for its adherence to the Thai National Font standard, offering exceptional legibility in both digital and print formats. Since its adoption as the official font of the Thai government in 2010, it has become the standard for all legal documents, formal correspondence, and academic publications within the country, characterized by its clean, professional, and efficient design.
