TikTok Sans 18pt ExtraExpanded ExtraBold Regular

TikTok Sans was introduced in 2023 as the official bespoke typeface for the global social media platform. Developed in collaboration with the renowned type foundry Dalton Maag, the font was engineered to enhance the user experience by prioritizing readability and legibility across various digital environments. The 18pt ExtraExpanded ExtraBold variant specifically addresses the need for high-impact visual communication, offering a wider stance and heavier weight that commands attention on mobile screens.

This typeface features larger apertures and optimized stroke endings to prevent visual clutter, even at small sizes. The ExtraExpanded width is a stylistic choice that provides a modern, cinematic feel, making it ideal for headlines and promotional content. By implementing this custom type system, TikTok ensured brand consistency while providing a versatile tool for creators to maintain high visual standards across the app’s ecosystem.
