TikTok Sans 18pt SemiExpanded Black Regular

TikTok Sans is the official bespoke typeface of the global social media platform, designed in collaboration with the renowned foundry Grilli Type. Introduced to replace Proxima Nova, this typeface was engineered specifically for optimal legibility and a modern aesthetic across various digital interfaces. The 18pt SemiExpanded Black variant is part of a sophisticated optical sizing system, crafted to maintain clarity and impact on high-density mobile screens while offering a bold, contemporary look.

This specific weight and width combination features enlarged x-heights and open apertures, which are essential for preventing visual crowding in dense digital environments. By refining the geometry and spacing, the designers ensured that the font remains highly readable even when used in short-form video overlays or complex user interface layouts. It represents a shift towards a more integrated and accessible brand identity for the platform's diverse global audience.
